Our Founder and story

Richard Scott is the driving force behind Scott Enterprises—a visionary entrepreneur whose journey from rural Jamaica to the helm of multiple successful businesses is rooted in perseverance, service, and efficiency.

With a background in hospitality and healthcare operations, Richard built a reputation for streamlining systems and leading with impact.

He launched Pro Care Innovations, a telehealth company now serving over 10,000 chronic care patients monthly. Today, he leads or advises several ventures including Heritage Signs & Awnings, Trotter Electric, and BMP Momentum, a nonprofit transforming educational access in rural Jamaica.

As principal of Scott Enterprises, Richard brings his entrepreneurial insight to founders and startups, helping businesses become more efficient, impactful, and mission-driven. His approach to business is simple but powerful: focus on service, maximize resources, and elevate others. Richard is living proof that bold beginnings and purposeful leadership can build a legacy—and his work continues to reflect Scott Enterprises’ commitment to growth with heart.

Richard Scott

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Richard Scott is an entrepreneur, investor, and strategist with ventures spanning healthcare, home improvement, and community development. He is the Founder and CEO of Pro Care Innovations, an experienced real estate syndicator, and the founder of BMP Momentum, a nonprofit supporting education, nutrition, healthcare, and opportunity for families in his hometown of Shirley Castle, Jamaica.

 Richard’s journey from his early roots to building multiple businesses in the United States reflects his determination and vision. Through Scott Enterprises, he unites his diverse ventures under one umbrella, leveraging decades of experience to grow businesses while driving meaningful social impact.

Reba McDermott PhD, MBA

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Reba McDermott, MBA, PhD, is a seasoned accounting and finance professional. In her 30-plus years of corporate experience, she has served as both Corporate Controller and Chief Financial Officer.

She has worked across a wide variety of industries, with experience in companies ranging from small startups to Fortune 500 organizations. Since transitioning from corporate leadership, Reba has been teaching accounting at the University of Arkansas and, for the last three years, has served as a trusted advisor and consultant to owners of small to mid-sized companies, helping them grow and prosper.

Jen MacBruce CFA, MBA, CIM

Business Advisor

Jen MacBruce is a seasoned financial services leader and strategic advisor with over 15 years of global experience spanning investment management, product development, and risk strategy. She has led multifunctional teams across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, bringing deep technical expertise and a proven track record in financial modeling, macroeconomic analysis, and innovation-driven growth.

As a trusted advisor to SMEs, nonprofits, and mission-driven enterprises, Jen helps organizations unlock clarity, scale impact, and navigate complexity. Her approach bridges strategy and execution—refining business models, strengthening governance, and guiding investment decisions with financial rigor and operational pragmatism. She has partnered with leadership teams through restructuring, capital raises, and market expansion, always with a focus on sustainable value creation.

Jen also advises founders and early-stage teams on building resilient businesses from the ground up—aligning innovation with long-term growth, refining business models, and preparing for capital raises.

She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), and Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designations. Jen earned her bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Toronto and her MBA in finance from the University of Birmingham. Currently advising across Canada and the U.S., she brings board-level perspective and a collaborative mindset to every engagement. Jen also serves on several nonprofit boards and is deeply committed to building an equitable space for women in finance.

Jennifer Garcia

Controller

Jennifer brings over 10 years of accounting and financial leadership experience.  Her background includes strategic financial reporting, cost analysis, team development, and system implementations such as SAP and MTech. She has also played an active role in SOX audits and internal controls. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith and has been recognized as a member of several honor societies including Beta Alpha Psi and Sigma Beta Delta. She is also a graduate of Bachoco’s Emerging Leaders Academy, highlighting her strong commitment to professional growth and excellence.

Mandi Burgess

Executive Administrator

Mandi Burgess is a driven operations leader with nearly a decade of experience optimizing processes, leading teams, and improving organizational efficiency. Her background spans roles as Operations Manager, Logistics Manager, and Shift Supervisor, where she consistently delivered results through strong communication, structured workflows, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Mandi recently earned her degree from Arizona State University while working full-time, a testament to her discipline, perseverance, and problem-solving mindset.
Known for her ability to bring clarity and order to complex operations, Mandi thrives in fast-paced environments where precision and collaboration drive success. She is passionate about building systems that enhance productivity and empower teams to perform at their best. Outside of work, Mandi enjoys tackling new challenges and finding ways to make meaningful, lasting improvements both professionally and personally.

Steve Nolan

Head of Business Operations

Steve Nolan is a seasoned operations and analytics executive with more than 15 years of experience leading data-driven initiatives and operational strategy. Before joining Scott Enterprises as Head of Business Operations, Steve led enterprise data programs at Walmart, driving governance, cross-functional standards, and process excellence that fueled significant growth within Walmart Data Ventures. Earlier in his career, he served as a professor at the University of Arkansas, where he specialized in advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and project management.
Steve’s expertise lies in transforming complex data into actionable insights and building scalable systems that improve efficiency across teams. He is known for his collaborative leadership style and passion for simplifying workflows to unlock measurable business impact. Outside of work, Steve enjoys coaching youth soccer, reading, and spending time with his family.

Kevin Kilgore

Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Kevin Kilgore is an experienced IT executive, software developer, and entrepreneur with a proven track record of building technology solutions that drive business growth. With more than 20 years in the industry, he has led projects spanning infrastructure, cloud systems, and custom software development. Kevin is the creator of a proprietary chronic care management platform that supports healthcare providers nationwide. His expertise in software development and SQL databases have enabled him to design secure, scalable, and user-friendly systems that seamlessly integrate into complex environments. Known for his hands-on leadership and ability to bridge technical and business needs, Kevin has guided organizations through digital transformations, operational improvements, and data-driven decision-making. He thrives in environments where technology and people intersect, ensuring that solutions not only perform but also empower teams. Outside of work, Kevin is a mentor, coach, and lifelong learner who embraces new challenges.

Sophie Stout

Marketing

Sophie Stout is a digital marketer who builds and runs the cross-channel marketing engine for Scott Enterprises’ companies; including Heritage Awnings, Signs & Canopies, Trotter Electric, Pro Care Innovations, and BMP Momentum. She develops performance websites, manages SEO and Google Business Profiles, runs paid search and social campaigns, and leads content, email, and analytics to turn awareness into qualified leads. Sophie partners closely with owners and field teams to translate projects into case studies, before-and-after visuals, and measurable campaigns, and she supports brand architecture work such as consolidating legacy brands into unified identities.

Stephanie Mosher

Human Resources

Stephanie Mosher the Human Resources Director with over seven years of experience in human resources and business management. She oversees recruitment, payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee relations while fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture.

Living in Ozark, Arkansas, Stephanie enjoys puzzle games, chasing waterfalls, and spending time with her mom exploring outdoor markets and antique shops across the state. She and her husband, married on Leap Day, share life’s adventures with her 21-year-old son and their husky, Odessa.
